Graphic Textile Design

Project Overview:

In using Adobe Illustrator, create a concept and custom textile pattern that explores color and shapes, while creating a marketable design. Explore visual depth and movement in developing an understanding of textile design. The concept, Time, is a mental construct that has been used throughout history to track minutes, days, and years. The human body can experience time in many ways, depending on what is happening in its surroundings. Time seems to move slowly when there’s a lack of movement and boredom, time seems to be fleeting as you grow old and it is at a stand still when you experience shock or tragedy. The lack of control of time and how it passes can also cause panic and anxiety.
